The big picture
CKH Group is growing and we are looking for an ambitious CPA to join our tax team. We are a global CPA-led accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Atlanta with seven overseas offices. We are looking for a tax accountant to join our US tax team. Our ideal candidate is a CPA with at least 2 years of public accounting and tax compliance experience, with closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. To be successful in this role, you should be a good communicator and exercise critical thinking and judgement. Your responsibilities will include procedures to ready financial statements for inclusion in our clients’ tax returns and the preparation of US corporate, partnership amp; individual tax returns. Whilst your primary role will be income tax centric, you may be called on to assist our advisory teams with ad hoc projects from time to time. It is important to note that during the tax season, the candidate must be available to travel to the United States to work with our clients and ensure timely and accurate tax filing. This may involve light travel within the US as well as overseas, depending on the specific client requirements.
We have a hybrid office policy, allowing for 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
We will trust you to:
- Participate in client discussions and meetings
- Process required adjustments to client records to accurately report client financial results
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Prepare federal and state tax income tax returns for corporations, partnerships and high net worth individuals
- Maintain accurate and complete working papers.
- Follow industry trends and track changes in tax regulation
- Contribute to tax planning exercises
- Manage project budgets and deadlines
Requirements
- CPA with Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Enthusiasm to learn
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Attention to detail
- Good MS Office skills, especially in using Excel
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Experience with accounting and tax preparation software packages
- Good communication skills with proactive, supportive, and positive approach
